Frankston will celebrate National Night Out by honoring police and firefighters and holding a pumpkin carving and painting contest all while enjoying snacks and live music.

The annual event will be held at the Sallie Austin Park with music from Roger McDonald and Friends. People are asked to bring their lawn chairs.

Come and take part in the Pumpkin decorating contest. The entries will be judged in two categories: Best Carved Pumpkin and Best Painted Pumpkin. Prizes will be awarded in three age groups including: ages 5 trough 8; ages 9 through 13 and 14 and over.

Judging will take place at 5:45 and the winners will be announced at 6 p.m.
